Stratum:   30% small, medium cobbles, many angular and ply, medium large pebbles and some tile; rare lenses of white fine sand; traces of carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is very slight down to the W. The soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is fine sand.
Notes:   15 is the fill of a pit revealed by 5. It seems to continue at its NW corner under the scarp (limit of excavation). The fill contained animal bones but also some human bones, even from a baby. These were just pieces amongst the soil as if the fil had been collected from a funerary context, then redeposited here. After these bones were revealed, Thansis dug very slowly for some time with his hands, just to be sure that we were not missing a grave, for the soil was extremely loose and soft. The pit ends in its northern two-thirds on a new deposit with more pebbles and small cobbles. The southern third continues deeper but is it too narrow a space to continue digging now.
Three coins were recognized only after being turned in for cleaning. Therefore, while numbers have been given to them, there are no elevations or coordinates. These are 2008-269 to 2008-271.
Two photographs of the pit were taken, one from the north (2008- ) and one from the south (2008- ).
