Description:   The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is coarse sand.
Notes:   17 is a deposit cut by the robbing trench 14. It is confined to the southeast quarter of the trench, east of wall 6. It reveals a tile and cobble fill that seems to extend from the wall to the eatern edge of our trench, including the floor of the pipeline cut.
