| Notes: | April 26 (p. 49) Using Basket #2 we began a new trench to the west at ΟΒ-ΟΣΤ/100-93, +86.994. [Finds stamp.] 3 coins and a bronze ring were found in this fill, as well as the western extension of Wall #4. April 27 (p. 50) In area ΟΒ-ΟΣΤ/100-93 we continued with Basket #2 of April 26. [Finds stamp.] 3 coins were found in this fill [AG-but only two inventoried.] April 28 (p. 55) We continued with Basket #2 of April 26 in trench ΟΣΤ-ΟΒ/93-100. April 29 (p. 60) We continued digging in area ΟΒ-ΟΣΤ/93-100 with Basket #2 of April 26. [Finds stamp.] In this fill we found 2 coins and at ΟΓ-ΟΔ/95-96 a fragment of a small marble capital, apparently ancient. [AG-no inventory number is given for the coins, but two coins, 1961-316 and 1961-317, are recorded in the finds stamp at the bottom of p. 60 for Basket #2 of April 29 (see context 10055), for which no coins are mentioned, so I suspect a mistake caused by the identical Basket #.] | |
