Notes: | April 28 (p. 56-57) Using Basket #2 we removed strosis +85.624 down to strosis +85.464-85.304. [Finds stamp.] This strosis was cut through by Wall #16 and Wall #13 but joins the east face of Wall #15 and appears contemporary with it; this strosis will be referred to as strosis #15. [AG-contrary to the usual practice, what follows the finds stamp seems to refer not to the layer just excavated (strosis +85.624), but to the one found below, that is, the irregular strosis which, according to the sketch on p. 59, actually starts a little higher, at +85.586. This context probably refers to the removal of the upper layer still present in Room #3, since irregular strosis #15 had already been reached in Room #6 (see context 10039, p. 45) and the correspondent strosis +85.624 in Room #7 was dug shortly after (see contexts 10040, p. 45; 10055, p. 60). In any case, I am inclined to keep the Harris Matrix relationship with Walls #13 and #16, given the fact that, if they cut strosis #15, they presumably cut the layer immediately above it as well.] | |
