Stratum:   Foundation trench? Soil is dark reddish brown sandy clay, 30% pebbles, 20% cobbles, compactish.
Notes:   B 71 is a small trench to see if there is a pit just north of wall 265. If it is, it extends from B 70 to B 64. It is cut into by wall 265 if it is indeed a pit. It appears not to be a pit but possibly part of a foundation trench for wall 265 that might run under the layer in the area of B 70. See top plan pg. 158.
