Name:   NB977 B76 P166
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   977
Context:   76
Page:   166
Date:   2006/06/02
Lot:   Lot 2006-028
Stratum:   Fill. Soil is medium whitish brown sandy clay with 50% pebbles, 40% cobbles, loose.
Notes:   B 76 is the removal of the layer of soil east of B 75 (the foundation trench) and south of wall 215. This clay-like layer might run over an area of rocky soil that is softer to the east of it. There is a strange line of stones (3) just to the east of the foundation trench in B 76 that seemed to be lined up but it is more likely a coincidence. The soil has bits of carbon mottled in it as well. We are coming down on a heavily mottled (with carbon) layer and thus are stopping. It does not appear that the rocky layer to its east run under it. We have left in place a ridge of rocks running between this basket and the foundation trench (B 75) and I am still uncertain if they represent anything significant. The ridge's elevation is 91.14. Found figurine legs. See top plan pg. 165.
