Lot:   Lot 2006-030
Stratum:   Soil is medium brownish brown sandy clay 30% pebbles, less than 5% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   B 83 is the floor layer in which the broken pot sat and into which the drain pipe was cut. Though the character of the floor is cobbled in places and finer in other places, Bill assures us that the soil is similar throughout. We are excavating until we see a change in the character of the fill. Under the area where the pot was removed, there are a few pieces of ochre and charcoal. This basket continues quite deep: the soil is the same as the upper strata but grows rocky towards the bottom increasing to 40-50% medium cobbles. This rockier layer overlies a denser, floorlike layer which will will dig separately. Found bronze. Top plan pg. 175.
