Notes:   The matrix of this is weakly cemented light grey clay with rare pebbles and cobbles. B 73 is a rising hump of clay that appears to be sitting on the cistern floor. It begins at the S end where the post for the support beam stops, suggesting communication in this layer with the west side of the cistern. The deposit is fairly rich in pottery, producing several nearly complete vessels. Though not entirely absent, there is much less carbon in B 73 than B 72. 100% of the soil is reserved for water sieving.
