Stratum:   B 11 is the continuation of foundation trench B 49. Medium yellowish brown sandy clay-like silt with 20% pebbles and 20% cobbles, loose.
Notes:   B 11 is the removal of the looser soil east of B 49, the foundation trench for Wall 260. At first the trench seemed to be a foundation trench for Wall 260 but then it made a right turn and ran along Wall 289. Then, however, it made another right turn and went into Wall 289 and ended at the point that Wall 289 ends before the empty space in that wall. So it appears that B 49 NB 957 and our B 11 is a foundation trench for Wall 260 and for Wall 289 and that the part of Wall 289 marked with an X (on the top plan) might be a pier. We stopped removing B 11 when the soil became more compact with a high percentage of clay in the soil makeup. We sieved 80% and left 20% for the water-sieve. See pg. 18 for phots of the projecting corner of Wall 260. See pg. 18 for top plan.
