Notes:   The matrix of this basket is brown sandy silt, compact, with 20% cobbles and pebbles. B29 is a pass N of the villa pool and S of the deposit under W265 (removed B22 p. 53). The deposit of B29 consists of a fairly dark matrix that contains pebbles and cobbles and little material culture, though the shards recovered are more numerous than in the baskets to the N (B26, B27, B28). There were patches of redder soil incorporated within the dark matrix, possibly indicating that the deposit is mixed fill that has been compacted.
