Stratum:   Fill over grave cut: reddish brown silty sand, compact, poorly sorted w/ 40% inclusions from medium pebbles to small cobbles.
Notes:   This basket is the removal of fill over the grave cut that is being dug as B8. It's purpose is to determine the extent of the grave cut. For measures to prevent contamination, see B8. The far west end of the grave was found at E 409,48 / N 976,19 / H 91,81. In the course of this basket one more grave was definitely found. There may also be a third grave. The broken skull of an individual was found at E 410,98 / N 976,27 / H 91,88. Two pieces of human skull surfaced in B7 and may be part of this individuals skull. A tibia bone was also uncovered. The height at which we first detected the grave cut was E 411,64 / N 976,67 / H 91,89. In the attempt to define this second grave, a slightly bent form emerged. In the eastern portion of this soft patch may lie yet another individual. The grave being dug as B8 was cut into this second grave, therefore, when this basket is complete and all graves have been identified, B8 can proceed. At end of day 31 May 2006 this basket was still open.
