Stratum:   Fill, dumped debris. Light brown silty sand, loose, with patches of ashy fill, less than 5% debris of red mud-bricks, ca 5% large subangular pebbles.
Notes:   We are removing a loose fill with patches of ash that was exposed by B 59, adjacent to a more compact floor to the west. This baseket exposed an edge with a compact surface on the W end of the basket. The fill of this basket went around the stones and tiles at the SW corner of the basket (N of the E-W stones).
On the E end of the basket it was clear that the cobbles were up against the stone feature. The cobbles were removed with B72.
What may be happening here is that B70 bottoms out on a surface for the construction of the stone console (B74). Then cobbles and debris were used to fill up to near the tops of the four perimeter walls, when the western area was compacted into a floor. The hearth installation (B63) and rubble to the E seem to have disrupted the floor further east of E 411. We closed the basket to take out the stone console.
