Stratum:   Cistern fill. Light, yellowish brown. Hard fine grained with 40% inclusions, a few cobbles.
Notes:   This basket begins the fill from cistern 2006-01 in the previoulsy unexcavated half (western half of the cistern). A few small finds, small pieces of worked boned, shells, a few olive pits and a small coin at E 410.81, N 975.05, elevation 90.83. A bouldter in the northwest corner and a smaller cobble in the southeast corner were found in the fill. A small piece of charcoal (0.5 cm) was found in the northwest corner of the basket. A terracotta head was found at E 411.03, N 975.63, elevation 90.70. A second coin was found at E 410.44, N 975.22, elevation 90.74. Small finds included numerous bone fragments, a few fragments of worked bone, a few olive pits and a number of shells. A small lead weight, circular in shape was found in the sieved material. Three other bronze coins were found in the sieve and thus no coordinates were available. Basket 85 was closed after an arbitrary level was reached. There was no visible change in the soil, however we wanted to excavate the cistern fill in a number of arbitrary basket levels despite our expectation that it is all one fill.
