Notes:   The matrix of this basket is dark reddish brown sandy silt, compact to loose, with 5-10% pebble and cobble inclusions. After the discovery of the block in B16 it was decided to scrape around and see whether we would remove the layer with cobbles that is located between the pit (B's 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and pit 2006-3 but is also on top of the block, or whether we should remove the dark reddish brown soft layer that formed part of the bottom of B14. It appears that the soft dark reddish brown layer was overlying the cobbly layer as well as part of the newly discovered blcok, and therefore it was decided to remove it first. After a couple passes an even darker and softer layer appeared that was attached to W215 and extended for ca. 0.4 m to the N and all the way to the lip of pit 2006-3. The rest of the basket came down to a light brown compact layer at which point it was decided to stop.
