Notes:   Basket 25 was defined as the area of the western and southern hearth boundary stones as well as the soil immediately underneath. Photographs of the area were taken after basket 24 and since these stones had become pedestalled it was necessary to removed the. Underneath the hearth stones, there were a number of roof tiles, which probably formed a leveling course. Underneath the roof tiles, the oil was bronish with numerous clay chunks throughout. It seems that the clay must have been used in the foundations of the hearth. Just under the roof tiles and within the brownish-clayey layer four bronze coins were found. The first was at E410.69, N976.75, el 90.99, the seocond at E410.64, N976.95, el 91.00, the third at E410.64, N976.75, el 91.00 and the fourth at E411.06, N976.38, el 90.97. All the soil was also dry sieved. The basket removed soil resting on the northern cistern wall and it is obvious that the hearth used the cistern wall as a strong foundation. At the end of basket 25, there were a number of small cobbled sized rocks on the southern end of the area. These rocks are in a looser greyer soil and appear to be in the stratum as the cluster of rocks found at the bottom of Basket 22. This rocky area will be excavated as another basket, basket 26. At the end of basket 25, a more red soil was also revealed. This extends to the L-shaped hump which is same soil. This long red L-shaped hump was later excavated in basket 28. Photographs were tkaen after basket 25.
