Notes: | Removal of the layer of fill around and partially covering the tile surface revealed at the close of basket 52. Removal of this fill revealed several more tiles associated with this surface. This tile surface goes all the way to the edge of W 285. We have sieved this material. This basket revealed a small amount of pottery and a single coin. We closed this basket when we came across a layer of colluvium beneath and when we came upon the west edge of the diamond tile pool. We stopped excavating here despite the fact that the fill continued under the diamond tile pool. We are leaving this area for now so that the tile surface can be drawn.
