The soil is moderately sorted. It is silt. | | Notes: | | We opened context 17 in order to clean the area. Soil was mixed with reddish brown patches just beneath the uppermost layer that had been exposed since last year. There were rocks close to the NW corner between wall 11 and the cistern. Not very much pottery, only 1 pail. Two large nails and a strip of metal, possibly a knife blade, were found.
