Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   -84 is softer and darker than 83
-Excavation of looser, blacker soil exposed in first pass through trench in courtyard (context 83) revealed more harder, reddish soil underneath, similar in consistency to that revealed along W. section and in NW corner of trench in context 83. This is likely a contamination of that same level first revealed in 84.
-Excavation of context 84 revealed in E. side of trench, next to wall 82. This may be a pit, filled with similar earth as 84, although further excavation will be needed to determine the nature of this feature.
