Shape = oval
Break of slope - top = sharp to the SW, W, NW, N and NE; gradual to the E, SE, and S.
Sides = vertical to W; vertical and convex to NW; vertical to N; concave to NE, E, SE, and S; convex at SSW; vertical to SW.
Break of slope - base = gradual all around except less preceptible at NW.
Base = irregular - dips at W. end and is slightly higher at E, S, and NW. But generally flat except at the W. end.
This cut was only recognized and the fill inside (B7) excavated after the removal of much of the plowzone deposit (B2). However, this pit must postdate the plowing activity in this field as it cuts the furrows (B22) left by the plow.
CUTS INTO: dark yellowish brown firm sandy silt with 20% inclusions, mostly small pebbles and tile fragments.
