Description:		Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:		We are excavating this context N of wall 918 (1st context on this side of the wall for this session). It is a darker area cut into a surface under 1059/1061, roughly semicircular. This are is not completely level as 1059 was a hearth removed by session one (and cut into the context under surface/floor 1060). The area is different from its surrounding level; it has more and larger inclusions and darker soil. This is a relatively deep deposit, but ended when we hit a siltier lighter soil with finer and smaller inclusions.

Context Artifacts:		glass, light green clear, 1 goblet stem, like MF 12780; knop made from two gathers, foot completely broken off, body with steep sides; bronze handle with heart-shaped attachment; iron nails, 4; round: l. 61 diam. 22; l. 3 diam. 30; l. 28; rectangular: l. 51 mm.; glass slag, 1; glass, blue clear, 1 ring base, like Andonaras 2009.152; glass, clear colorless, 15; glass, bluish clear, 3 bs; glass, white clear, 3 bs; iron slag, 6 lumps; wall plaster red 16; yellow 3; black 1; glass, yellow clear, 1 base, similar to but smaller than Andonaras 2009.254; glass, light green clear, 1 rim, thickened and rounded on outside, angled downwards to a point on interior, no parallel; glass, yellowish clear, 1 thickened folded-over, tubular rim with handle attached on top of lip, no parallel found; glass, light green clear, 1 rim, bowl with cracked-off rim as Jalame 477; glass, light green clear, 1 rim, like Weinberg and Stern 2009.7
