Description: | Top slope of the context is medium down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | This appears to be the remainder of a 1960s excavation dump, next to 1129. It is very disturbed with plants, loose and rife with various ceramics. We will excavate this in order to proceed with 1129. This area was very rich in biodisturbance and needed to be removed to get at the next chronological context. Its removal was done mostly during the morning of 17/5 before we came in. Beneah this layer, the soil is very homogenous with deposit 1129, which lies to the N and E of 1128. We did not sieve because we believed that the material contained herein would be too much of a chronological mishmash to be useful; for the same reason, we're probably not going to include this deposit in the Harris Matrix.
