Description:   Structure materials: limestone, roof tiles, pebble conglomerate. Material size: limestone 0.9 x 0.5 x 0.4 m to 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 m. Material finish: mixed. Material construction: random uncoursed. Material bonding: mud.
Notes:   Wall 1155 abuts wall 1154 and wall 1213, both of which it postdates. It also appears to be later than wall w35, which continues along the same line on the opposite side of wall 1154. Stones are a mix of squared and roughly hewn.
It's possible that 1155 is a later phase of wall 1213 and may have been constructed to close off what was previously a point of entrance into an interior space bounded by 1154 and 1213. It also appears to have been constructed after the putative destruction event recorded in 1151 (based on elevations), so it may have been part of a reconfiguration of the area which occurred after this destruction.
20/6: On reexamining the section left below 1155 while digging in 1151 to prevent the wall from collapsing, some large tile pieces similar to those found in 1151 are visible. This provides further evidence that the possible destruction event represented by 1151 occurred before 1155 was constructed and extends below but not on the other side of 1155. Based on this stratigraphic relationship, a likely date for the wall is Middle to Late Roman.
