Stratum:   pebbles, some cobbles, broken roof tile, ceramic sherds, bone (total ~ 40%)
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the NW. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   We are cleaning away the scarp left by the 1961 trench that was dug along the south face of wall 5484, probably in an attempt by these earlier excavators to date the wall. The trench was cleaned in 2007 but was not excavated down to the elevation of the putative floor below deposits 1151 and 1169, so we are trying to ascertain whether this surface continues below this trench.
This context does come down upon a hard-packed greyish earth floor that is similar to the floor below 1151 and 1169 in the northwest area. However, we also came down on some softer material below the southern and western areas of this deposit, which may indicate that the floor was broken through either in antiquity or during previous excavations.
Inclusions here were similar to those found in associated contexts 1151 and 1169, with angular pebbles and cobbles.
