Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1100
Context:   225

Date:   2007/06/07
Stratum:   Inclusions: 60% pebbles, few cobbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level down to the The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay.
Notes:   B 225 is the removal of a very pebbly layer that was exposed by B 224 (the clay patch). This layer extends to the south though it is unclear exactly how far. If Guy is right about flooding in this area, this may be a pebbly wash that came through.
It appears that this pebbly soil runs all the way to the southern boundary of the Nezi 2007 excavations. We have also come down on some more stones that are part of the N-S wall that runs along the western edge of this basket.
