Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish red. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   329 is a limp of fill above a very red floor just west of wall 299. The light yellowish red silty sand has bits of clay and some ash. The red surface beneath seems to undulate towards the pit 290 to the south. There are patches of harder material in the matrix but with the same inclusions. The matrix is mixed but the same.
We come down upon a reddish clay floor and a moxed red clay that seems to sit upon a very black layer, possibly a hearth. The red clay is next to go.
