Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   353 is a small pit fill deposit in the southwest corner of the space bounded by walls 305 and 306. 353 and its associated pit cut 354 are the westernmost pit in a line of three pits arranged along the line of wall 305. These pits are all comparable in size, shape and inclusions. It is possible that they are simply trash pits given their inclusions and location in a floor. However, their position along the line of wall 305 raises the possibility that they might be post holes for a bench or similar structure. NO wood was found in the pit fill, however. We decide these are simply trash pits.
