Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   358 is a hard packed clay and soil surface lying west of and reaching wall 313. 358 is one of several rsurfacings in this area. The contexts which cover 358 (340, 344 and 348) are also later resurfacings. The boundaries with these contexts are diffuse and so it was difficult to discover the actual boundaries but changes in elevation and texture gave us a good picture of the various resurfacing actions.
In the south, 358 reaches what we assume to be the continuation of wall 305. Also in the S, 358 is cut by 304, the robbing pit 310, and the robbing pit 328. In the W, there is a different floor surface which is redder and doesn't appear to have the clay inclusions that 358 does.
