Name:   Nezi Field, context 373
Area:   Nezi Field
Context Type:   Fill
Title:   Sandy fill E of 313
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1101
Context:   373
Page:   0
Date:   2008/05/29
Stratum:   40% tile, angular pebbles, ceramics, carbon, bone
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   The dark yellowish brown fill has much more sand than other contexts in this area. It appears to sit atop a layer with many tiles. The inclusions of tile, angular pebbles, carbon, and ceramic seem smaller than what can be seen beneath in the scarp of B191.
A dark layer with rocks and tiles is revealed at the bottom in a soft soil.
The reddish harder soil represented by the cut to the E (370) seems to go underneath the dark layer with rocks and the boney ashy layer to the S (also E of wall 334), which may be later than the red layer. Whatever this pit, represented by the cut is, G.S. suggests, perhaps it was recut - and than the floor 367 may have been later than the softer 364 directly to its E.
