Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light reddish yellow. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   We open 394 to remove a hard fill with many patches of white clay. This fill is bounded by wall 332 on the W and wall 313 to the E.
As we dig, Panos uncovers another stone of wall 332, as well as what appears to be a surface east of wall 332.
4/6/2008: As we dig further east, more of the surface revealed yesterday is revealed. In the W, this surface abuts wall 313, indicating that wall 313 was in use when this surface was in use. As the pass is taken east, we discover that this surface lies under context 394 all the way up to wall 332. Thus, we have uncovered a surface bounded by wall 313 to the W and wall 332 to the E. The original S limit of this surface is likely truncated by cut 310. The N limit of this surface is as yet unclear.
We complete removing this context, exposing the surface underneath. This surface is a bit patchy, but does extend to the N, S, E and W boundaries of the context. The boundary of the surface to the N is unknown, as a different fill (398) may be laid on top of it. We close to excavate this different fill (398).
