Stratum:   10% tile, angular pebbles, ceramic, carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is mixed. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   The firm matrix changes from light yellowish white to dark yellowish red silty clay. There are even darker patches of red (dark brownish red) that may be mud brick, but none with their original shape preserved. Tile are revealed in the N section and the white clay to the S. It is obvious that this dep., 397, 395, 393, and the clay tilesstill remaining are different phases of collapse of the same structure. A strip of yellow clay runs along the S edge of cut 396 (robbing trench) that sits above the tile layer. As 396 has tiles visible in its matrix, mostl likely this phase (the clay) was cut by the wall (subsequently robbed). For this reason we take it separately.
