Stratum:   80% tile, ceramics, angular/subrounded pebbles, bone, carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is mixed. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   402 is a firm silty clay with patches of light yellowish white and dark pinkish red soil. Many tiles are probably related to the material that was to the north (395.397). Inclusions also include pebbles, ceramics, bone, and carbon.
The debris runs slightly over B74 (robbing trench) to the S and over much of 396 (robbing trench) to the N. Whithin this deposit much of 396 is removed.
The area next to cut B73 (2007 excav.) has no tile so it is left for now, although it probably dates later than this deposit.
