| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark yellowish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | 409 is a firm dark yellowish red sandy clay with few inclusions of pebbles, tile, ceramic, bone, and carbon. The limits are not immediately apparent as this layer is slightly softer than that around it. Softer darker soil is revealed near the W edge and a floor is present towards the E. Above this floor to the E of 409 were removed some horizontal roof tiles. At the S end of the Dep. There is a circular patch of darker, softer soil parlty visible but running into the E-W wall (420).
