Stratum:   10% ceramics, tile, angular pebbles, carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish white. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   The firm light yellowish white silty clay has few inclusions of ceramics, angular pebbles, tile, and carbon.
This clay runs over the top of parts of the E-W wall(420) and into an area where the wall has been robbed.
When removed a red clay layer, most likely connected to that to the N, is visible between the sections of the E-W wall. In this area also is a very hard patch of the same clay as 412. To the E of this patch is a very soft dark patch - perhaps rodent related.
The W section of the wall had several tiles horizontal but completely within this yellowish white matrix. After pedestaling them they are removed and the brown soil of the wall is revealed.
