Stratum:   10% ceramics, tile, sub rounded pebbles, carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark red. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   419 is a soft dark whitish red sandy silt with very few inclusions of tile, ceramics, sub rounded pebbles, carbon.
This layer, while soft, is slightly more firm that 417, which was directly above it, and overlies in part the yellow clay beneath 418.
As we dig down the yellow clay becomes wider and it is difficult to dig the soft so we temporarily halt this dep in order to facilitate its complete removal by excavating at least part of the yellow (423) first.
After 423 is removed we resume this dep.
