Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   423 is a soft dark greenish brown silty clay with few inclusions of tile, ceramics, rounded pebbles, carbon, and bone. When removed there is a layer of reddish soil.
As we are no low enough to continue along the edge of the pit in the softer soil, we resume 419.
