Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   425: A hard dark reddish brown silty sand with many inclusions of rounded pebbles, tile, ceramic, bone, and carbon. This is one of two patches of floor at the N baulk, truncated buy the 1936 excav. The floors are probably the same but perhaps 425 is a bit softer than the patch to the N.
Beneath is a dark layer with fewer inclusions and a lesser amount of rounded pebbles that is very firm to hard and darker with more sand than the soil to the E.
