Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish black. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   433: A hard dark reddish brown silty sand with many inclusions of rounded pebbles, tile, ceramic, bone, and carbon. This is one of two patches of floor at the N baulk, truncated buy the 1936 excav. The floors are probably the same but perhaps 425, to the S, is a bit softer than this patch to the N.
