Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The purpose of this basket was to excavate the extent of the foundation packing fill of W22 (NB228) revealed by B5103 and B5119 (at the bottom of Bothros 6 NB228) between the southern limit (the RT of W19 NB228 - B5113) and the northern limit (the extant remains of W22 NB228). The removal of the first layer of stone and tile (c. 0.10m) revealed another similar layer of stones and tile fragments. The removal of this second layer revealed a sharp change to a dark reddish brown soil lacking the tile fragments and large cobbles of the foundaton fill. The northern extent of the fill was continuous with the foundation fill under the preserved section of W22 (NB228).
