Notes:   Dimensions: L 2.92, W & H unclear because the wall is not fully exposed.
Size of materials: rectangular limestone: L 0.50, H 0.15; rectangular tile: L 0.17, H 0.04
This earlier phase of wall along the south of Room F was partially used as a foundation for W5334.
Not very much of this wall phase is currently visible above ground, so some measurements could not be taken and the description may need to be updated as more is revealed.
This phase was robbed out to the west (robbing trench: context 5113 from last season).
This wall seems not to bond with a N-S wall (W5345) at its east end.
Also on the east end are some tiles, which are not used elsewhere in the construction of this phase. The tiles are plastered in place with mud, like the rest of this phase, but may represent a repair.
This wall was called W19 by the 1961 excavators and has been referred to by that name in the 2007 and 2008 notes.
Additional notes 2010 (WFD): With further excavation in June 2010 new observations are possible. This phase rests upon wall phase 7249. So this is the third phase of the wall making use of 7249 as foundation, with tiles placed to level it. Coin 2010-126 found in context 7106 might provide a terminus post quem for this construction.
