Description:   Structure materials: limestone and jurassic limestone. Material size: .40 L x .58 W x .3 H. Material finish: Roughly hewn. Material construction: Regular coursed. Material bonding: none. Features: cuttings;pivot, pin, rectangular door jamb.
Notes:   Structure context 534 is a threshold built into the NS wall 313. It demonstrates communication between the room E of wall 313 and the room W of wall 313; the room east of wall 313 is bounded by walls 313 and 334 and the room west of wall 313 is bounded by walls 313, 332, 305 and 365.
The threshold 537 is composed of 3 blocks: the southernmost block is a soft limestone asjlar with a circular cutting for a pivot. The central block is also squared and made of jurassic limestone. It features a pin hole: the northern most block is ashlar hewn from soft limestone with a rectangular door jamb cutting. The dimensions of the door jamb cutting are .22 by .17
The threshold 537 is abutted to the E by the associated floor 337 and to the west by the floor 620. The top elevation of the threshold indicates a step up from the elevation of the associated floors.
Like the floor 620, the NS wall 313 and its associated threshold 537 slump dramatically due to the extensive distrurbance of the deposits west of the wall: pit cuts 510,513,517,526,527, and 528.
