| Notes: | Deposit context 545 is the archaeological cleaning of the robbing trench associated with the robbing out of portions of wall 540. This fill of the robbing trench 54 was excavated as deposit 52 in the 2007 season; more stones of the wall were visible at that time. Since 2007, silt has accumulated in the trench obscuring the exposed portions of the wall such that deposit 545 is the removal of the accumulated silt to re-expose the wall. It is noted that the west side of the robbing trench cut at it southern extent is not clean; it appears that the robbing trench fill 52 was perhaps under dug. Also a line can be discerned in alignment with the east face of wall 540 south of its preserved extent. This also appears to indicate that the fill was under dug. | |
