Stratum:   60% inclusions; fine- coarse pebbles, cobbles, ceramic, charcoal, roof tile
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Deposit context 552 is the second layer of leveling fill from the top for the clay floor 549. Like the lens above (551), it is truncated to the north by the robbing trench for wall 366, and to the west and the south by unknown action. The removal of the leveling fill 552 was expected to reveal more of an earlier floor associated with wall 313, but it did not. The eastern edge of the limestone block cut by pit cut 527 has been revealed. It became apparent that what appeared to be the northern extent of the clay floor that extends between wall 313 to the east and 332 to the was was actually fill on top of the floor. The removal of the dumped fill deposit 522 revealed a tiny patch of the red clay floor and made evident that the floor has slumped dramatically along the west face of wall 313 due to the disturbance of the large pit cut 527 and 528.
