Description:   Structure materials: limestone blocks and tiles. Material size: blocks, 0.55x0.32x0.21; tiles (broken), 0.17x0.18. Material finish: Mixed - 60% squared, 40% roughly hewn. Material construction: Random courses. Material bonding: mud-plaster.
Notes:   Later (10-5-10, DPG): Foundation trench of wall 5562 maybe cut 6831 on south of wall in room north of courtyard. Pickman Thanasis Magarakis noticed two distinct phases of the wall by it's coursing, and 6831 maybe the foundation trench of the lower phase. More excavation is needed to confirm this.
Later (CMT, 11-5-10): While this wall was first noted and drawn in May of 2008, the structure form was not filled out. Wall 5562 runs E-W, north of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. It appears as though there were at least two phases of the wall, at least where it bounds the room directly north of the courtyard, between walls 5590 and 6321, at the room's northern limit (as noted above). The lower portion is characterized by smaller, rubble stones, while the upper portion employs larger blocks, randomly coursed, with tile. It appears that the lower portion joins the lower portions of walls 6321 and 5990, while the upper portions merely abut. Wall 5562 also abuts walls 5677, 6821, 6789, and 5431 on the nortern face of the wall. Large limestone blocks, roughly hewn, appear at these corners.
