| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | This context is the leveling fill under the earthen floor that extended to Wall 71 and its robbing trench. We retain the same martyr as that of 5585 (see notes for 5585). The excavation of this deposit reveals more of the lower course for Wall 71. In the NE corner of the room, we expose more tile cobbled flooring that we exposed in Deposit 5572. We seem to have the same fill as we go down, until we reach a layer of cobbles and tiles beneath. WE therefore continue to expose cobble/tile layer. It has many marble cobbles . Upon scraping it, it is discerned that the tiles in the NW corner cut under Wall 71. This can be seen only in the northern most tile. The layer of dumped with many tile and cobble inclusions continues underneath the patch of tile flooring. Later notes - S.
