Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are removing fill from west of wall 38 that rests upon a firmer surface. By removing this deposit, we expose more of walls 5562 and 38. This pass extends from the NE corner of Walls 5562 and 38 into the western section of the room. Some stones are floating in the north central part of the room; one has three divets in it forming a rough triangle shape. They rest on tile and soil. They are removed. Resting on the same surface as the removal of the fill deposit exposed is an installation that includes a block with 3 cuttings. This installation is removed as structure5609.
Later notes - S. Gallimore (7/4/09)
Three different contexts/surfaces revealed by removal of context 5600. These now labeled as contexts 5926, 5955, 5958.
