Stratum:   35% inclusions; fine- medium pebbles, some roof tile fragments.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The lens 564 is a shallow deposit sitting on top of the orange clay floor that extends westward from wall 540 and is associated with it. Scraping with the trowel removed this lens which in turn revealed a patch of clay in the floor that turned bright orange by exposure to heat, perhaps in association with the fire pit that is immediately south and adjacent.
