Description:   The context shape in plan is trapezoidal. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is uneven. Truncation: excavation of well 61-9 in 1960s (5864).
Notes:   The cut 5898 is a linear cut extending southward from wall 5463 toward well 5864. The E side of the cut was isolated during the exacavation of the pit fill 5621, which was overdug. With the removal of the the fill 5897, the W edge of the cut has now been isolated. The southern extend of the cut is not known, as it is truncated by the cut around well 5864. The function of the cut is unknown, though it may be noted that several small pits have been excavated along the N and south faces of wall 5463.
