Notes:   Pit fill 338 was first excavated at the end of may 2008. excavation of the pit fill was arbitrarily halted because the relationship between the it and the earlier well truncated by the pit was difficult to isolate. We have decided to reopen this context as it was discovered with the removal of the cap stones of the drain 426 that the well truncates this feature. Also it was noted that the drain picks up again the south scarp of the pit cut. When the excavation of the pit was halted in 2008, they covered the deposit with plastic. The cleaning operation 597 is the removal of the dirt that has accumulated on the plastic, the plastic itself and the a scraping o the deposits.
