| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | Cleaning the S part of this room revealed three distinct contexts: a sandy, loose fill in the E and SE area (6008), the cut of a trench in the hare of wall 10086 (6004), which seems to be the effect of robbing activity, and a dark fill with some patches of charcoal (6005). Below the dark fill, after only a few cm, we revealed a compact, level surface with flat-lying potter and denser areas of black charcoall, which we identified as a small patch of a floor preserved only here in the center of the room. To the immediate north, it appears to be cut by the cut of a later drain (5947) and further north it is difficult to say as the excavations of the 1960s brought this area down to a lower level. To the W, the floor was cut by a large pit (6023) and to the SE and E it is also not preserved. We later decided to equate 6007 with 6005 and 6028, interpreting all these contexts as part of the same, poorly preserved floor with a distinct dark matrix with charcoal inclusions.
