Description:   The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. Structure materials: limestone cobbles, pottery, brick. Material size: 5-20 cm. Material finish: unworked cobbles. Material construction: rubble. Material bonding: none. Features: built up against wall 10087..
Notes:   Wall 6148 appears to be the foundation of Wall 10088. Wall 10088 was removed and revealed a layer of dirt directly below, fill 6147. 6147 was removed and revealed the rubble of Wall 6148.
North of the northernmost extent of Wall 6148 is an area previously excavated in the 1960s. It is unknown if Wall 6148 continued into this area and, if so, how far.
The construction of the wall is mixed, with smaller cobbles and broken limestone at the top and with larger angular stones at the bottom.
Upon completion of the removal of wall 6148 we could see that the preserved portion of the wall was, in fact, the entirety of the wall.
